The Dermatopathology Service in Edinburgh is part of the Department of Pathology at NHS Lothian University Hospital Trust and is physically located at the Western General Hospital. A total of around 16,000 skin biopsies are interpreted annually. The service supports the Departments of Dermatology and Plastic Surgery as well as hospitals and offices in the Lothians and Borders and has an active immunofluorescence and a busy referral practice. |
