This year’s course aims to increase awareness of the vast spectrum of cutaneous skin adnexal tumours. Attendees will be provided with individual microscopes and will be able to study 60 selected cases in the context of their clinical histories. These cases will subsequently be discussed, using live microscopic projection, by our group of internationally renowned tutors. Discussion will be based around the individual diagnosis placed in the broader context of differential diagnosis. In a relaxed atmosphere participants will be encouraged to participate in the discussion and suggest possible diagnoses. To facilitate the discussion, tutors will give 45 minute lectures providing an overview of cutaneous skin adnexal tumour pathology based on morphological differentiation such as follicular, sebaceous as well as benign and malignant sweat gland tumours. Participants will be provided with a course syllabus containing copies of the introductory lectures. The course is suited to Pathologists with an interest in Dermatopathology as well as practising Dermatopathologists and Dermatologists and Pathologists in training preparing for the British Diploma, the International Board Certification and/or the American Board examination in Dermatopathology.
Approval for 15 CPD credits is currently being obtained from the Royal College of Pathologists.
Attendance is limited to 50 participants
